Hi Ella, You gave a very interesting perspective on new literacies; I did not read the article you used to base your graphic on, so those ideas were new to me. As a mom, it's good to hear that video games aren't a complete waste of time for kids, since my boys (ages 16 and almost 18) love them so much :) My one son loves to play Minecraft, and I can definitely see that as an affinity space for him, and can see him collaborating, and engaging in critical and active learning. I tend to side with your perspective, about being a waste of time! By the way, what program did you use to make your graphic? Nice job!
This is an interested way to separate the definitions. Good job! Sometimes using the word "stuff" is the best way to actually describe things without becoming too technical. It also is good terminology for the coming generation.
